The calm, shallow water reflects the morning colours remarkably well. This is a 2-minute walk from the Plai Laem villa area.

Big Buddha (Bangrak)

The causeway approach to the Big Buddha faces east, and the golden statue catches the first light of day spectacularly. Arriving at the temple at 5:45-6 am gives you a contemplative 30-minute window before the first tourists arrive. The reflection of the statue in the water below adds another dimension to the scene.

Chaweng Beach Sunrise
